Mac Photoshop CS5 Guide.

I finally got around to doing it; sorry for the wait.

First things first, I don’t have a mac. There will be problems and I’ll try my best to fix them.

  1. Download the Files:
    http://www.mediafire.com/?ug927ggugus87ug
    http://www.mediafire.com/?4bahz13gakdzbqf
    http://www.mediafire.com/?guqd6vd4ib3l11d
    http://www.mediafire.com/?jql0i0e31b3q6l2
    http://www.mediafire.com/?3jnxt4lybhncc8w

This is going to give you five files, Photoshop_12_LS1.part1/2/3/4/5

  2. The next step is to extract them, and since they are .RAR files, you’re either going to need WinRAR or another RAR Extractor (http://www.unrarx.com/)
Select the files you have downloaded and extract them, this should give you a SINGLE file called ‘Photoshop_12_LS1.dmg’.

  3. You’re now going to have to ‘Mount’ the image. To do this, you need to double-click the extracted file, this should make the disk show up under your Mac’s device list. If this does not work, you’re going to have to drag the .dmg file onto the ‘Disk Utility’ icon (It should be under Applications > Utilities)

  4. Once the DMG is mounted on your Mac, you are going to want to run the Setup that is in it (Should be called ‘Install’).

  5. Select “Install this product as a trial” and click on next.

  6. Now click on “Install” and wait for it to finish.

  7. Quit Photoshop CS5 if it opens after launch

  8. You’re going to now open up the ‘Terminal’ Application (Again under, Applications > Utilities)

  9. Now in Terminal, paste this code:

    sudo /Applications/TextEdit.app/Contents/MacOS/TextEdit /etc/hosts

This should open the host file in TextEdit, it should look something like this:

  10. In the host file, paste the following chunk DIRECTLY UNDER 127.0.0.1 localhost

    127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com
    127.0.0.1 practivate.adobe.com
    127.0.0.1 ereg.adobe.com
    127.0.0.1 activate.wip3.adobe.com
    127.0.0.1 wip3.adobe.com
    127.0.0.1 3dns-3.adobe.com
    127.0.0.1 3dns-2.adobe.com
    127.0.0.1 adobe-dns.adobe.com
    127.0.0.1 adobe-dns-2.adobe.com
    127.0.0.1 adobe-dns-3.adobe.com
    127.0.0.1 ereg.wip3.adobe.com
    127.0.0.1 activate-sea.adobe.com
    127.0.0.1 wwis-dubc1-vip60.adobe.com
    127.0.0.1 activate-sjc0.adobe.com
    127.0.0.1 hl2rcv.adobe.com

  11. Save and Close the Host file in TextEdit.

  12. Exit Terminal, and then open it back up.
Paste the following code in terminal:

    sudo dscacheutil -flushcache

    Close Terminal.

  13. Open Photoshop, and when it now asks you for a Serial Code, enter any one of these codes:

    Serials:

    1325-0178-1927-9019-0123-2254
    1325-0702-3693-1544-9166-3515
    1325-0549-2240-0071-3409-1342

installing photoshop.

step one:

download it:
http://www.mediafire.com/?i2ejnmddzmz

step two:

open the downloaded zip file:

step three:

inside that, there should be a .exe file, open that:

something like this may pop up, click run or allow:

step four:

click accept on the installer

the next step involves some changes. When it asks you where to install the program, you need to change it to somewhere you can easily access. Desktop is a great choice.

so for example:

step five:
click install, wait a few minutes as it extracts all the files.

When it finishes, it will disappear and you need to now go to the folder you chose during the install.

inside that, open up Photoshop CS5.exe and that’s it.

drop me a message if this has been helpful (:

-Edit-

If you get this error:

what you need to do is this:

Right Click “PortablePhotoshopCS5.exe”
on the drop down list, hit “Run As Administrator”

that should do it.

again, any questions, don’t hesitate to hit up, unanon preferably so I can answer privately
